Hollowden is a home for original characters. You put them somewhere safe, organise them the way you think, decorate their pages, and keep a public record of who made them and who has owned them since.
Your characters are yours. Not ours, not a licence you granted us, not something we can sell or train on. You can take every file and every word back out whenever you want, in one click.
Where we stand on generative AI
Nothing here is generated. No image on this site is made by a model, no description is written by one, and none of what you upload is used to train one. Not now, and not as a policy we might quietly change later.
Art posted as your own when a model made it is against the rules, and it is one of the things you can report. We read those reports.
Ownership, said precisely
A character page records who currently owns it and every transfer it has been through. That history is public and it cannot be edited or deleted, including by us, because a record you can rewrite is not a record.
The files stay yours too. The original you uploaded is kept untouched and only you can download it, which matters most after a character changes hands: whoever owns the character owns the files that come with it.
Your settings hold a full export: your profile, your characters with their raw layouts, your folders, transfers, favourites and comments, plus every original image and its art credits. No request to make, no waiting.
Who runs this
One person. There is no team, no investor waiting to be repaid, and no growth target that would one day need your data to be worth something.
That also means being honest about the limits: replies take as long as one person takes, and features arrive one at a time.
What it costs
Keeping characters here is free, and the parts that matter stay free: uploading, organising, transferring, exporting. A paid tier will exist later for extra colour palettes and comfort, and it will never gate what your characters need to exist.
One rule we have already committed to: the light and dark choice is never sold. Nobody pays to read comfortably.
Moderation
Reports go to real people and the rules are written down rather than improvised. You can read them on the rules page, along with what happens after you report something.
